We signed the lease today!

We are moving to another lake called Lake of the Woods. It is very close to Fredericksburg and is about a 20 minute commute to Unionville for me and a 70 minute commute for AJ to get to Middleburg. I know by Buena Vista standards that sounds like a very long commute but believe it or not some people commute 90 or more minutes one way to get to DC. We will be moving the end of June so I had better get busy packing.

Blessed Beyond Words

Sometimes you just have to stand back at look at what the Lord has done! I have said before and I will say again! God has blessed AJ and I beyond our wildest dreams. The road to this point has not been easy but I can say it has been worth it. God is Faithful!

Today while sitting alone at my desk, I shed a few tears as I looked back on our journey to this point. I remember the fear, doubt and worry. AJ's faith however never wavered. He stood strong and deep rooted in Gods promises and Gods promises are true....amen

Today is Nurses Day and Nurse Amy had a wonderful day!

I was sitting at my desk and a little boy came in and said, "Can you come out here for a minute?"
Mrs. Morris' class had gathered in the hallway and had this poster hanging on the wall.
"SURPRISE!"

My principal, Mrs. Kinser, gave me this beautiful lilly.

I am not sure who sent this, but they are lovely.

PMMS had gotten me this angel last year as a going away gift. I brought it to UES on my first day of work putting her on the shelf above my desk. That very evening, it was destroyed by the earth quake. I was so happy to have her back. Thank you Mrs. Bowen!

This picture was created in Mrs. Aylor's class.  Several months ago I told them I was a princess and from that point on my name has been "Princess Nurse Amy." Well I am a princess, I am the daughter of the most high God.

I am not sure you can see, but Mrs. Wilkins gave me these fab hoop earrings. They just happened to match my outfit and I put them on immediately.

I received these great cards from the 2nd grade! You guys know I love crafted things.

Yep! That is a Starbucks card.

MMMMMM! No need to say anything else.

Mrs. Perkins, made these beautiful earrings.

Looks like a great beach read!

Thank you UES staff for making me feel welcomed and loved from my very first day of work.
I love and appreciate each and everyone of you guys so very much.

Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Avengers, and House Hunting.

Lynard Skynyrd was in town Saturday night and we missed them! We did catch the Avengers! Barely. The crowd was wrapped completely around the 12 stage Muvico. We had to sit in the up close seats. I really liked it, but I love all super hero movies. It was funny at times, very unexpected.
This is Muvico. It has a bowling alley as well as a restaurant inside.

We were in the back of this line.

Of course we had to eat at the Shack....Joe's Crab Shack that is.
I would like you to meet our usual waiter, Sam. I call his Sam I am, after my all time favorite movie, Ghost. Sam is dancing to The Car Wash Song. He is a lot of fun.
We also went house hunting today in a community called, Lake of the Woods. I think this is the house I am interested in. Lake of the Woods is located 15 min from my job, 1 hour from AJ's job and 8 miles from Fredericksburg. It has many amenities, two pools, eight beaches, two marinas, fitness center and an equestrian center! BECAUSE  One day I hope to have one of these.
One would make a great Mother's Day gift! Don't you think?

The Wicked Bottom was Conquered!

I posted my best time today ever for a 5k, seasoned runners please don't laugh but I finished in 39 minutes.
Yeah!
The last couple miles I ran with my bud Christina. Two very proud chicks for sure.
AJ passed us at mile 2 and also posted his best time, 37 minutes. Whoop! Whoop!
The vineyards of wicked bottom are beautiful! We did not participate in the wine tasting. I just did not have to stomach for it at 9am.
I won a raffle! I never win anything. Can you believe I won a $25 gift certificate to a jewelry store. AJ said "Happy Mother's Day" and I said "NOT!"

A Blistered Wicked Bottom.

First off, look who is home and on the phone.
Yep, all is well with the world even if he is talking on the phone DURING dinner.

I did something today that, we shall we say was not too bright! Here is a little background information. I wear scrubs Monday-Thursday and Friday is casual dress day. I decided I would wear my new maxi dress with these cute wedges.
I bought them at Target last week to go with my maxi dress. Smart, huh? Well, not so much. I have blisters covering both feet!
Ouch!
I don't know why I didn't think new shoes may equal blisters. I was miserable all day and to say the least I have to run the wicked bottom tomorrow.

Thursday is flouride day! Whoop! Whoop!

Good Thursday everyone! My day started out as usual with a 6am walk with Millie. Poor girl, she is as old as Moses. I have people stop us on our walks just to acknowledge, "she keeps going, huh?" Yep! I told her she could not die and leave me. She is trying to keep up her end of the bargain.

Onward to UES! Today is flouride day. Always fun and exciting. I guess we give about 160 flouride treatments every Thursday. I have two great volunteers who make it possible every week.
Here are the tables set up waiting for the young ones.
Today's flavor was bubble gum.
This is my friend Bev. She is a Jack of all trades at UES. Just a few of her hats include, IA, cafeteria monitor, laminator operator, and on and on. Thanks for all you do Bev!
This is my 5K buddy, Christina. We are going to conquer the Wicked Bottom on Saturday.
Christina is one of the second grade teachers. The kids love her.
Today was my last training run before Saturday's 5K. I am not sure what is wrong, but my time SUCKED! Maybe it was the heat and the hills and I miss my training buddy.
Dinner isn't fun without him either.  I miss you AJ!
