I Never Lost My Praise

I was too tired to blog last night, AJ and I had made our 5 mile journey around Lake Louisa then I was off to my Bible study group. Running yesterday I thought of my good friends at home as I listened to Brooklyn Tab Choir belt out, "I Never Lost My Praise." I had the honor I being in this most AWESOME choir for a season. Which leads me to my pic of the day. The first I took with my camera off of my computer screen and the second I copied and pasted from BVPHC chuch web page.

Yep, that's my family! I have had some great times with them over the years. We have traveled together, prayed together, laughed and held each other up. I miss them terribly. Sometimes I wonder why God took us away, but that is not for us to understand. We just keep walking in the direction that He leads. I refuse to lose my PRAISE!!!! Enjoy the link below; one of my besties is the soloist Kathy Morrison and the director is her husband Tim.

I've lost some good friends along life's way
Some loved ones departed in Heaven to stay
But thank God i didn't lose everything
I've lost faith in people who said they care
In the time of my crisis they were never there
But in my disappointment in my season of pain
One thing never wavered one thing never changed

CHORUS
I never lost my hope
I never lost my joy
I never lost my faith
But most of all
I never lost my praise

CHOIR
My praise, still here, my praise still----here

Solo 2
I've let some blessings slip away
And i lost my focus and went astray
But thank God i didn't lose everything
I've lost possessions that was so dear
And I've lost some battles by walking in fear
But in the midst of my struggle, in the season of pain
One thing never wavered, one thing never changed

Dog gone green!

How big is your carbon foot print? Millie is a true believer in conserving energy especially when it comes to washing dishes. Why waste electric energy to the heat water and run the motor of the dish washer when she has a tongue ready and willing to help?
With the dishes done and kitchen clean Millie is ready for a nap.

Nothing really eventful today, I did go into work at Unionville Elementary School to work on my Lorax bulletin board. Dr. Seuss day is March 1st.  AJ was a big help as he master minded the whole thing.
Our run today SUCKED with a CAPITAL S. All the junk food yesterday blasted our energy and AJ had terrible cramps. I guess we only made it about 2 miles before waving the white flag. This is pretty much how we have been most of the day. In a carb coma. I did fix a good low carb healthy snack of baked Kale. Don't knock it until you try try it. They taste just like potato chips. Salty and crunchy.

Look what AJ found in the local deli, maple glazed BACON donuts.
He loved it!

Welcome to the Love Shack!

If you see a faded sign at the side of the road that
says
'15 miles to the love shack', love shack, yeah, yeah
I'm headin' down the Atlanta highway
Lookin' for the love getaway, headed for the love
getaway..............

This is a little lake cottage across the street from AJ and I that a little elderly man is fixing up for the love of his life. It is call the Tickled Pink Cottage. Their love reminds me of a
Nicholas Sparks novel.
So Sweet! He has tried to think of every detail for her.

Here is her beautiful lake view from the screened in back porch.

Race Day Etiquette

AJ and I have run 12 miles this week. I know some people may say that is nothing but it is a big accomplishment for us. Today's run was torture in it's purist form. Everything I had hurt and my nose was so stuffed up I could barely breath which brings me to a topic I have read about but never understood why anyone one would blow a "snot rocket" until today. Yes, you read that right. This is an actual running term and I found etiquette on such an activity. The excerpt was taken from an article "Blowing Your Nose While Running." September 2009.
" Race day etiquette suggests you do a couple of things as the nose blow’er. First thing, check to your left and to your right and immediately behind you before you launch a snot rocket. If there is someone behind you please make sure they are at least 3-4 strides behind so that they don’t run through the mist of your nose blow. If you are crowded in during a highly populated race, then you can always take the sleeve of your shirt and blow/wipe accordingly."
Not to worry guys, I will never blow a snot rocket. I am too much of a lady....wink, wink. Though the thought crossed my mind during today's run.

Winning

Today's assignment for picture of the day was to take a picture of your favorite portrait of yourself. NOT.  So I am posting yesterday's assignment which is to take a picture of your hand writing. This is a note card from 1/18/2012, "How to Win Spiritually," Lifepoint Church.

Look what I found blooming while walking Millie today.

Heading out to Bible study with the girls from work. I still continue to hope my Bible will turn up. Have a wonderful evening!

A Snow Day That Almost Was

Last night I was sure I would have the day off today but my dreams were shattered this morning to learn we had a two hour delay. SNAP! Here is a few pics of the morning.
I finally learned how to take a decent close-up with my new camera. I am pretty proud of this one.

Here is my sweetness starting my car and Millie supervising.

Of course I had to get a horse pic. I am not sure what the deal is with the purple on his nose.

I wonder why they are laying down?

I want to share a pic of this low carb bread I made AJ over the weekend. It is called Mr. Peanut bread and it is only 1 cup of peanut butter, eggs and vinegar. Bake. REALLY!! It contains no flour at all. I found the recipe on a low carb blog I read. It is great toasted with low sugar jelly.

And look at the what AJ bought me today. My favorite movie. Pie anyone?

Have you seen my Bible? It is pink and chocolate and means the world to me.

I did not wake up in the best of moods this morning. I woke up to find that our winter storm warning had been down graded to a winter weather advisory. Yes, usually Sunday is my favorite day of the week but today not so much. I was mad about everything from the weather to my missing Bible. I left my Bible at church on the greeting table exactly one month ago. I knew it would turn up, it had too. It had my life written on the pages. I have asked every week at the lost and found and today I even got to talk to the lady who cleans up the church .........NO WHERE TO BE FOUND! Surely no one would "take" someone elses bible would they? Well, I asked that question yesterday at Lifeway Christian Book Store....."yep, it happens all the time." Really??? Well, today I gave up and let it go. I hope who ever has my Bible is reading it everyday and  enjoying my intimate feelings and thoughts with My Savior weaved through out the pages. Just one more thing I want to say. I could have left my Bible out 10 years at my old church, Buena Vista Pentecostal Church, and it would still be there.
On a lighter note, it is snowing. I guess maybe the weather man was wrong. :)
The picture challenge today was to take a picture of something you hate to do. Easy, I did not even have to think about this one.

Snow, Finally!

I know one certain GS dog who is excited about SNOW being in the forecast!! She has waited all year  to catch snowballs. I can't wait to get pictures of the lake and of the horses in the area. Maybe, just maybe I will have a snow day on Monday. I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed! I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Here is Friday's pic of the day challenge, I was sick and did not get to post it.

Today's challenge was to post a "drink" and this is one of my favorites.

Jesus Bring the Rain?

Driving home today in the rain I heard this song by Mercy Me,  "Jesus Bring the Rain." Here is part of the lyrics that I really contemplated:
"Bring me anything that brings You glory
And I know there'll be days
When this life brings me pain
But if that's what it takes to praise You
Jesus, bring the rain."
Could I ever truly pray this? Bring me ANYTHING that brings HIM glory? The song in beautiful but.........Lets just say I have some work to do. I will let you know when I arrive. I have never liked to be in the rain.
On a lighter note here is my Feb pic the the day. The assignment was to take a picture of something new and this arrived today. My monthly sample pack from Birchbox.
Every month I get a sample of different things from beauty supplies to food. The food sample for this month was dark chocolate with cayenne. NOT my cup of tea, but AJ really enjoyed it. I also got a sample of Juicy Couture, Blemish Clearing Serum, Eyeliner and Face Moisturizer.

Be My Valentine?

The day of LOVE. I hope everyone is having a wonderful Valentine's Day. My baby has been awesome to me today. Look at the wonderful dinner he cooked for me and he even cleaned afterward.
I was exhausted after my run today so I was so glad to come home, shower and have dinner ready. Here I am after my run. I still can only do about a 12 minute mile. I know PITIFUL!

I am smiling because I am glad I did not die.
AJ also got me two red roses, and a Canon Rebel. I know I am spoiled to death. The red roses signify our first year of just the two of us as I am in mourning called the empty nest syndrome.
So here is the gift I made AJ. He loves to play poker so I thought it appropriate to make his Valentine out of a deck of cards.

Yes he sings Elvis to me.
Here are some cards I made for the Unionville Staff.
