Have you seen my Bible? It is pink and chocolate and means the world to me.

I did not wake up in the best of moods this morning. I woke up to find that our winter storm warning had been down graded to a winter weather advisory. Yes, usually Sunday is my favorite day of the week but today not so much. I was mad about everything from the weather to my missing Bible. I left my Bible at church on the greeting table exactly one month ago. I knew it would turn up, it had too. It had my life written on the pages. I have asked every week at the lost and found and today I even got to talk to the lady who cleans up the church .........NO WHERE TO BE FOUND! Surely no one would "take" someone elses bible would they? Well, I asked that question yesterday at Lifeway Christian Book Store....."yep, it happens all the time." Really??? Well, today I gave up and let it go. I hope who ever has my Bible is reading it everyday and  enjoying my intimate feelings and thoughts with My Savior weaved through out the pages. Just one more thing I want to say. I could have left my Bible out 10 years at my old church, Buena Vista Pentecostal Church, and it would still be there.
On a lighter note, it is snowing. I guess maybe the weather man was wrong. :)
The picture challenge today was to take a picture of something you hate to do. Easy, I did not even have to think about this one.

Snow, Finally!

I know one certain GS dog who is excited about SNOW being in the forecast!! She has waited all year  to catch snowballs. I can't wait to get pictures of the lake and of the horses in the area. Maybe, just maybe I will have a snow day on Monday. I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed! I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Here is Friday's pic of the day challenge, I was sick and did not get to post it.

Today's challenge was to post a "drink" and this is one of my favorites.

Jesus Bring the Rain?

Driving home today in the rain I heard this song by Mercy Me,  "Jesus Bring the Rain." Here is part of the lyrics that I really contemplated:
"Bring me anything that brings You glory
And I know there'll be days
When this life brings me pain
But if that's what it takes to praise You
Jesus, bring the rain."
Could I ever truly pray this? Bring me ANYTHING that brings HIM glory? The song in beautiful but.........Lets just say I have some work to do. I will let you know when I arrive. I have never liked to be in the rain.
On a lighter note here is my Feb pic the the day. The assignment was to take a picture of something new and this arrived today. My monthly sample pack from Birchbox.
Every month I get a sample of different things from beauty supplies to food. The food sample for this month was dark chocolate with cayenne. NOT my cup of tea, but AJ really enjoyed it. I also got a sample of Juicy Couture, Blemish Clearing Serum, Eyeliner and Face Moisturizer.

Be My Valentine?

The day of LOVE. I hope everyone is having a wonderful Valentine's Day. My baby has been awesome to me today. Look at the wonderful dinner he cooked for me and he even cleaned afterward.
I was exhausted after my run today so I was so glad to come home, shower and have dinner ready. Here I am after my run. I still can only do about a 12 minute mile. I know PITIFUL!

I am smiling because I am glad I did not die.
AJ also got me two red roses, and a Canon Rebel. I know I am spoiled to death. The red roses signify our first year of just the two of us as I am in mourning called the empty nest syndrome.
So here is the gift I made AJ. He loves to play poker so I thought it appropriate to make his Valentine out of a deck of cards.

Yes he sings Elvis to me.
Here are some cards I made for the Unionville Staff.

Set Apart

Tonight I had my weekly bible study with a group of AWESOME ladies. The lesson was set-apart in holiness by Pricilla Shirer. I can honestly say the Lord has delt with me before numerous times in this area. Especially,  in certain movies I choose to watch or books I read.
I continue to be a work in progess. Thank you Lord for Your Grace and Mercy.
For today's February picture challenge is something blue. So here is my art journal I made with blue paper flowers.

A Horse of a Day

Since moving to Central Virginia I have developed this obsession for horses. They are along all the country roads here looking over white fences waiting for me to pull over and take a photograph of them. Just like this Sweet Ness. He was trying to lick my camera so I had to back away some.  Here is his friend. I am not sure why he has a coat on and Sweet Ness does not.
We then traveled to a town called Middleburg. Middleburg sits 45 minutes west of DC and is the most beautiful town I have ever seen. The photographs I took do not begin to capture the essence of this town. Old historic buildings, brick lined sidewalks. They love their horses and dogs here. Snow covered the streets in places. I fell in love.

Oh how I would love to live in a country home here, yellow with a big front porch with horses joining my property. A girl can dream right?
To totally change subjects here is the pic of the day for the Feb pic challenge. The assignment today was to take a picture of your closet. So I took a picture of the neatest part of my closet, the floor.
